Transmitter Update August 15, 2014:
It gives us great pleasure to announce to you that as of 3:53 pm today, Friday, August 15th, we began to broadcast utilizing our brand new hybrid digital transmitter!
This amazing accomplishment could not have been possible without the support of YOU! Thanks to your generous support and encouragement, community radio in Toronto is alive and stronger than ever! From all of the volunteers and staff at CIUT 89.5 FM: THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Background on the Transmitter Campaign:
On Sunday, April 6th the transmitter we had been using since the stations inception in 1986 literally quit working. This was just 3 days before we were slated to start our spring membership drive campaign. The entire campaign had to be turned on its head and given new meaning, in part that meant the only message that counted was to explain to YOU, our listeners, the importance of making a financial contribution that would be directly applied to helping us acquire an entire new transmitter system. And, boy, did you ever show your support!
Please note: Donation refunds will be determined on a case by case basis.
