Ontario’s Labour Market Future

More than 700,000 people in Ontario will be unemployable by 2021 due to inadequate skills and education, according to a groundbreaking report released yesterday by Seneca College president emeritus Dr. Rick Miner. The report, “People Without Jobs, Jobs Without People: Ontario’s Labour Market Future,” notes that those 700,000 would be in addition to the five per cent of people who are traditionally unemployed, bringing the total number to more than 1.1 million.
