Public Service Announcement and Promotional Partnership Guidelines

 

Public Service Announcements

CIUT dedicates a portion of its airtime to public service announcements (PSAs) for not-for-profit and charitable organizations. A public service announcement is a notice that serves the public interest and informs the public about safety and health information, community services, and social and public affairs.

In order to be considered for a PSA you must make a request in writing at least four weeks prior to the date that you would like your PSA to air.

If your application is accepted, you will need to provide us with a 30 second script or pre-produced advertisement. The content of all scripts and advertisements is subject to editing for length and content by our production department. Scripts must be delivered to CIUT at least three weeks prior to air date. Pre-recorded advertisements must be delivered to CIUT at least one week prior to air date.

PSAs are typically run 20 to 30 times over a two-week campaign.

 

Promotional Partnership Requests

CIUT offers Promotional Partnership opportunities for events that are organized by not-for-profit and charitable organizations, and events organized by third parties to benefit such organizations.

CIUT charges an administrative fee for Promotional Partnerships. In some special cases we are able to waive that fee for organizations that have no advertising budget and will not be paying for advertising or promotions with other media outlets.

In order to be considered for a CIUT Promotional Partnership you must make a request in writing at least four weeks prior to your event.

If your application is accepted, you will need to provide us with content for a 30 second script or pre-produced advertisement. The content of all scripts and advertisements is subject to revision for length and content by our production department. All CIUT Promotional Partnership advertisements must carry the tag “presented (in part) by CIUT 89.5 FM.” Scripts must be delivered to CIUT at least three weeks prior to air date. Pre-recorded advertisements must be delivered to CIUT at least one week prior to air date.

Advertisements are typically run 20 to 30 times over a two-week campaign. Value-added, custom sponsorships will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
