Blissful Thunder (Thursdays, noon-2p.m.), broadcast their show live from Canadian Music Week’s conference centre at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto on Thursday, March 11.

Ottawa-based singer songwriter Kellylee Evans stopped by CIUT’s Map Room Studios to perform songs from her new recording Bad Girl. Listen to Take 5 on March 10 to catch her spellbinding performance.

On Friday, February 5th, we received a visit from a very enthusiastic group of Grade 4 & 5 students from Hillcrest Community School in Toronto.  As is usually the case for most anyone who enters the premises, we put them to work.  Tune in to 89.5FM to hear their spot!

On Sunday, January 17th CIUT 89.5 presented 4 hours of expanded coverage regarding the crisis in Haiti. The special was anchored by Mario Beausejour, host of our weekly Haitian program Creole-a-Go-Go. Mario welcomed guests, Dr. Eric Pierre, honorary cousel of Haiti; provinical government employee, Gabriel Osson; Professor Voegeli Juste-Constant, and more.
