Tune in to CIUT Friday, March 12 as Take 5 (8-10a.m.), Electric Boogaloo (noon-2p.m.) and Dreaming in Stereo (3-5p.m.) feature music and interviews with some of the independent artists in town for the event. On Saturday, March 13, tune in 8-10am as Vernon Smith, host of Sunrise Deluxe, speaks to artists and industry figures about the Canadian music scene today.

On Friday, February 5th, we received a visit from a very enthusiastic group of Grade 4 & 5 students from Hillcrest Community School in Toronto. As is usually the case for most anyone who enters the premises, we put them to work. Tune in to 89.5FM to hear their spot!

Creole-a-Go-Go Covers Haiti Crisis

On Sunday, January 17th CIUT 89.5 presented 4 hours of expanded coverage regarding the crisis in Haiti. The special was anchored by Mario Beausejour, host of our weekly Haitian program Creole-a-Go-Go. Mario welcomed guests, Dr. Eric Pierre, honorary cousel of Haiti; provinical government employee, Gabriel Osson; Professor Voegeli Juste-Constant, and more. The microphones were also made available to members of the Haitian community-at-large in Toronto and southwestern Ontario.
